Books I’ve written covering health, wellness, aging and health care reform include the well-reviewed lifestyle guide, Looking Forward: An Optimist’s Guide to Retirement (Stewart Tabori & Chang, 2004), a popular pamphlet, Boomers Guide to Good Work, about giving back, and, of all things, a dictionary of public health terms.

A Brooklyn resident for over twenty years, I’ve written three popular guidebooks to this fabulous “outer borough,” and one guidebook to the borough of Queens. Brooklyn: The Ultimate Guide to New York’s Most Happening Borough, ran 500 pages and won a bronze award from the American Society of Travel Writers. (All four books published by St. Martin’s Press.)

In the course of my book publishing career, I’ve done book signings at major bookstores in New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Houston, and the Bay area. I have tons of articles online.

I hold a masters degree in public health and am a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the American Public Health Association and American Society on Aging, not to mention the crunchy, much-publicized Park Slope Food Coop.
